Meet Your Guide, Chen
Chum Reab Sour ladies and gentleman!
Chum Reab Sour is the official way to say Hi or Hello in Khmer culture. Travelling is one of best ways to open people's eyes about the world today; having the right tour guide can make all the difference!
I am Chen, a friendly guide who is passionate, enthusiastic, and trustworthy. I was born in 1988 in a small, rural village 60km west of Siem Reap City. I grew up working on a farm with my parents and two younger sisters. In 2009, I moved to Siem Reap to finish high school. I graduated in 2010, then became a Buddhist monk for one whole year. I then decided to become a teacher of English at a private school and an organization school. Late in 2013, I passed my examination to be a tour guide and, as a result, became an official guide licensed by ministry of tourism.
When you visit Siem Reap in Cambodia and would like an authentic Cambodia culture experience, I would love to share my country with you. There is, of course, one-of-a-kind Angkor Wat. But, Cambodia doesn't end there! We will discuss the ancient and recent history of Cambodia; learn about the the arts, culture, politics, and local lifestyle; as well as, if you'd like, visit other amazing sites including beautiful Kulen Waterfall, the floating village, the countryside, local temples, and so much more!
